What We Do

In a nutshell, we build and manage servers. We use modern hardware, aiming for efficiency at a low price for savings we can pass to the consumer. We looked towards the future demands of the Internet, focusing on standards like IPv6.

ManageMyDedi, LLC recognizes that privacy is paramount to our customers. This document was created with the intent of clarifying the policies that ManageMyDedi uses when dealing with the data collected from users of our website and services. We intend to offer the greatest possible level of protection for your personal information, while collecting as little information as possible to make our services run smoothly. 1. Definitions
1.1. "Public services" are defined as services rendered by ManageMyDedi to the general public.
1.2. "Services," used in all other contexts, are defined as products offered as an explicit customer of ManageMyDedi.
1.3. "Website" is defined as the managemydedi.com and managemydedi.net domain and all sub-domains therein.

2. Information Collection
2.1. All users of public services and private services, including customers and non-customers, will have certain information collected for the purpose of testing, marketing, and legal compliance, except as otherwise defined in this section. The extent of this information is as follows:
2.1.1. Identifying Information: When a user connects to a ManageMyDedi service, the user's IP Address, time of access, and browser information may be recorded. This is in order to provide a greater quality service to our users through optimization based on actual usage.
2.1.2. Usage Information: ManageMyDedi may store certain information regarding the specific pages a user has visited on the website, their behavior on those pages, and the pages visited before and after visiting the website. This is in order to improve the quality and content provided in our services.
2.1.3. Cookies: ManageMyDedi may store a digital cookie on your computer system. This is for the purpose of storing certain identifying information in order to provide additional ease of access to frequent users and to track the usage of our website as defined in previous sections.
2.2. When you conduct a monetary transaction with ManageMyDedi as a customer, ManageMyDedi will collect certain additional information.
2.2.1. Financial Information: In order to conduct a transaction, ManageMyDedi will require information, such as credit card data, to receive monetary exchange for services.
2.2.1. Personal Information: Information such as name, date of birth, personal address, and billing address may be collected. This is for the purpose of verification and account differentiation.
2.3. Hosting services, including dedicated and virtual servers, may incur additional information collection.
2.3.1. Information that is logged by scripts on the customer's servers may be used by ManageMyDedi to optimize customer services.
2.3.2. Server information and statistics may be recorded to better serve our customers.
2.3.3. Additional information storage may be requested by the customer. ManageMyDedi will request authorization to access any additional hosted content.
2.4. Virtual Private Network ("VPN") Services are provided on a basis of mutual trust between ManageMyDedi and our customers.
2.4.1. It is the intention of ManageMyDedi to provide the maximum amount of anonymity and privacy allowable by law to our VPN Service users. However, to comply with federal and state regulations, some data must be retained in our records, as follows.
2.4.2. Identifying Information: When a user initiates the VPN Service, the user's connecting IP Address, connecting time, connecting duration, and assigned outbound IP Address are recorded.
2.4.3. Network Traffic: The traffic that goes through the VPN Services is not explicitly monitored. If the traffic needs to be monitored for a specific reason, such as in the case of suspected violation of the Terms of Service or system testing, ManageMyDedi will provide notification to the customer on a reasonable timeline.
2.5. In the process of providing service to our users, we may contract the services of other companies. Except in cases specifically mentioned in this document, the terms of their services are not covered by this document. Such instances include, but are not limited to payment processing and user provided software. When the contracting of service occurs, the user will be explicitly informed that their information is being transferred to a third party.

3. Information Sharing
3.1. ManageMyDedi will never share your information with anyone unless we receive your expressed approval to do so.
3.2. There may be specific instances in which we share your information, of which you will be informed. This specifically includes any services not provided directly through ManageMyDedi.
3.3. In the specific instances outlined in section 2 that ManageMyDedi does store your information, it is available for retrieval with presentation of appropriate credentials at the cost and time of the customer.
3.4. This section may be superseded by local, state, and federal law, for the purpose of complying with law enforcement.

4. Information Security
4.1. ManageMyDedi is committed to keeping your information secure.
4.1.1. SSL: All sensitive data, including a user's account and password, is transmitted over secure sockets layer encryption.
4.1.2. VPN: Our VPN services are encrypted using 256 bit AES encryption, which is virtually unbreakable.
4.1.3. Financial and Personal Information: The financial and personal information we collect is stored on a hardened server, meeting strenuous security specifications, and constantly monitored for intrusion.
4.2. While we make every effort to keep our information secure, in the event that there is a security breach, all current customers will be notified of the time and scope of the breach within a reasonable amount of time.

5. Third Parties
5.1. ManageMyDedi will share certain information with the following third parties, within the context outlined in this section.
5.2. Google Checkout: When a customer chooses to pay using the "Google Checkout" option, Google will collect personal information for the purpose of payment processing. This specific service is provided under the terms of service and privacy policy of Google, Inc.
5.3. PayPal: When a customer chooses to pay using the "PayPal" option, PayPal will collect personal information for the purpose of payment processing. This specific service is provided under the terms of service and privacy policy of PayPal, Inc.
5.3. Google Analytics: ManageMyDedi shares certain information outlined in section 3 with Google, Inc. under the terms of Google's Analytics software package. This is for the purpose of traffic and user analysis. We share information with Google Analytics exclusively for the ManageMyDedi website, with the exception of access to the Customer Relationship Management software we deploy to manage user information.

6. Changes to this Document
6.1. ManageMyDedi strives to keep its customers informed of changes to their policy. In the event of a change or revision to this document due to any reason, ManageMyDedi will provide prior notice of no less than 72 hours to all users via the information supplied for contact at the time of transaction.

Terms of Service

  1. You and Us
    1. When you are provided services from ManageMyDedi, LLC, purchased or otherwise, you are entering into an agreement with ManageMyDedi, LLC (referred to as "us" or "we" from this point forward) to abide by certain terms and conditions in the course of transaction of business. This document establishes those terms and conditions.
    2. These terms are the basis for any agreement between you and us.
    3. In specific instances, which will always be conducted in writing and confirmed by explicit acknowledgement, we will establish additional terms.
    4. In the event of conflict between additional terms and these terms of service, the additional terms take precedent.
  2. Accepting These Terms
    1. You accept these terms as part of any agreement, purchase or otherwise, between you and us, unless otherwise explicitly stated.
    2. In accepting these terms, you also accept our privacy policy, publicly available on our website.
  3. Provision of the Services by Us
    1. Upon receiving payment, we are obligated to provide the requested service for the full paid-for duration. If we cannot provide the services contracted due to the specifically outlined exceptions in this document, an agreed upon substitute will be provided.
    2. We may terminate the service immediately without refund, as outlined in the termination section, if you break the these terms of service.
    3. We will provide service to you in all cases outlined in this agreement, with the exception of force majeure, including war, riot, crime, an "act of god." In such cases we will provide appropriate response in a timely fashion, but cannot guarantee the continued provision of service.
    4. We reserve the right to select the users to whom we provide services, to the extent permitted by law.
    5. Service disruption or outage may occur due to factors beyond our control, including power outage, network outage, or equipment failure. Although we may provide compensation due to excessive system failure, we distribute compensation at our sole discretion.
  4. Use of the Services by You
    1. All consumption of services provided by us must be done in accord with these terms of service.
    2. You accept sole responsibility for your actions when using our services.
    3. You may not use our services to break any of the laws of Chicago, Denver or Scranton where our services are hosted, or the District of Columbia, where our company is based, laws of your local municipality and state, or federal law. Doing so is grounds for immediate termination.
    4. You may not use our services in such a way that intentionally impedes the usage of our services by other customers and users.
    5. You may not use our services to transmit unsolicited electronic mail.
    6. If in the course of using our services, you break these terms, we reserve the right to collect reasonable and appropriate monetary compensation for doing so.
    7. In the case of suspected network abuse or illegal file sharing, we reserve the right to immediate termination.
  5. Additional Terms Specific to Other Services
    1. Dedicated Servers
      1. You accept all responsibility for the content and services provided by the dedicated servers we provide.
      2. We cannot be held responsible for equipment failure or data loss. In such instances, we will make a timely replacement of equipment.
      3. All data is responsibility of the customer to backup. We strongly urge you to backup your data on a regular basis.
      4. All management service is provided on an as-is basis.
    2. Virtual Servers
      1. You accept all responsibility for the content and services provided by the virtual servers we provide.
      2. System speed may vary depending on the load of the physical server. Although disk space and alloted memory will always be reserved, system clock cycles will vary.
      3. We cannot be held responsible for data loss. Customer accepts all responsibility to make their own backups of their data.
    3. Virtual Private Network (VPN) Service
      1. You are solely responsible for the content you access while using our VPN. We are not responsible for breaking the policies of any service provider, business, workplace, federal government, state government, or local government.
      2. Due to the fact that VPN service is shared among multiple users, we cannot guarantee the speed of the connection.
      3. While we guarantee the security of the connection between our servers and the client, we cannot be held responsible for compromised clients or unsecured connections between our servers and the end point on the internet.
  6. Payment for Services
    1. Whenever you purchase a service from us, you agree to pay the price we set by whatever means we accept payment, and thus accept the Terms of Service of any intermediary payment company we use.
    2. Attempting to pay with fraudulent information is grounds for immediate termination. In such cases, we reserve the right to report your information to the appropriate authorities and collect any charges owed by your account.
    3. The "billing period" is defined as the period for which a user pays for service ahead of time; in most cases, this is one month.
    4. We reserve the right to change our prices for services at any time, without any notice.
    5. Current customers must be notified at least one billing period before a price change can affect them.
    6. If a customer falls behind on payment for services, we allow a seventy-two hour (72 hr) grace period for them to make up the payment, but after that time we may cease service as outlined in the termination section.
    7. Failing to pay for a service on time may result in termination of service.
    8. Failing to pay the late fee within one billing period may lead to a suspension of service, though the same seventy-two hour (72 hr) grace period applies.
  7. Refunds
    1. Although in the event of an excessive service outage we will attempt to provide a reasonable compensation, all refunds are provided at our sole discretion.
    2. In the event of a billing error, we will provide a timely refund.
    3. Cancellation of Service
      1. We recognize that in certain instances, you may find it necessary to cancel our provision of services.
      2. If you wish to cancel your service, you must provide us with written notice, which includes the signature of the account holder.
      3. Service cancellation will occur at the end of the billing period current rececpt of your written notice.
      4. The cancellation of services does not revoke any debts or late fees as defined in the payment section.
    4. Termination of Service
      1. There may be certain instances in which we find it necessary to terminate the services we provide to you; this service termination will either be immediate or non-immediate.
      2. Immediate service termination may occur at our discretion when any of the terms defined in this document are broken. This includes failure to pay any charges or fees within the period outlined in the payment section.
      3. Notice of termination will be provided to account information provided after immediate termination.
      4. Non-immediate service termination will occur in specific instances, including an inability to provide a specific service to a user due to technical difficulties, limited supply, or lack of continued support as determined by us.
      5. Notice of non-immediate termination will occur immediately, and is effective after a minimum period equal to the remainder of the current billing period.
      6. In the event of service termination, the data associated with your account will be deleted and no longer available.
    5. Revision of the Terms
      1. In the course of our operations, we may find it necessary to modify these terms of service.
      2. In holding with our fundamental principles of transparency and accountability, we will notify you of changes using the contact information provided with your account, with a minimum period equal to 15 days.
